Clock Face Kennels Standard Terms and Conditions of Booking
**Please review updated terms and conditions following new DEFRA legislation
effective from 1st October 2018**
- Our premises are strictly open for business between 8.30am and 1.00pm and 2.00pm and 5.00pm on Monday to Saturday. We are closed on Sundays and all bank holidays. Times may vary over the Christmas Holidays, please contact us for further details
- The Owner is responsible for the delivery and collection of the animal to and from our premises as arranged. In the case of a cat (or other small animal for which boarding facilities are available) the animal must be delivered in a suitable carrying cage, box or other container which will be left with us during the boarding period.
- The day of arrival and the day of departure will both count as full days when calculating the number of days boarding and the total cost. At time of booking we require a deposit to secure the booking. The deposit will not be refunded and is not transferable at any time.
- If the Owner fails to collect an animal on the booked departure date for any reason other than our wilful act or neglect, we will have the right to charge the Owner a daily rate equivalent to three times the rate specified in the Booking Form for each day of default occurring after the booked departure date. In addition to all other remedies available to us, we will have the right to arrange for the rehoming of an animal not collected within fourteen days following the booked departure date, in the absence of any satisfactory explanation. In that event we will serve written notice of intention on the owner at the address shown on the booking form and such notice will be sent by recorded delivery and the period of notice (not being less than fourteen days) shall run from the date of posting. All associated costs of rehoming and outstanding kennels fees will be due 30 days from date of notice. Interest will be charged at 8% above bank of England base rate and will be accrued until such time as full payment is made.
- Where the owner does not provide the pets own food, we will feed the animal a good and balanced diet which we consider suited to the animal’s needs having due regard to its age, size and weight. There will be an additional daily charge for this.
- The daily rate charged for the boarding of an animal does not include the provision of food
- If the animal has not been fully inoculated prior to delivery to us, we will not accept the animal for boarding. There is no exception to this rule. Vaccine cards must be produced on arrival showing the correct, timely vaccines have been given. Flea and worming information must also be given
- If the animal has any special medical requirement including history of illness and / or need to administer medication, the Owner must fill in a separate medical disclaimer, clearly outlining medical history, and medication needs (including medication type, dosage and frequency) prior to booking in. The Owner understands that whilst highly experienced, the staff are not medically trained, so in carrying out any specified wishes and instructions of the Owner we will act carefully and in good faith but we will not be responsible for any damage to or loss of the animal or (otherwise) which might result from compliance with such specified wishes and instructions.
- If during the boarding period the animal sustains any injury or contracts any illness or disease or if in our opinion the animal appears to be unwell we will arrange for the animal to be examined and if necessary treated by a Veterinary Surgeon of our choice on the clear understanding that all professional fees and other expenses thereby incurred will be charged to the Owner and paid for when the animal is collected. The cost of diagnosis and treatment of any illness, disease or other ailment, the symptoms of which are detected after the animal has been collected from us, must be met and paid for by the owners irrespective of cause.
- The Owner is free to leave the animal’s toys with the pet during their stay, however Clock Face Kennels accept no liability for either the items or any injury or death caused by the toys to the animal or others. Furthermore we cannot guarantee that these items will be returned upon departure. Items are left entirely at the Owner’s risk.
- We will rely on the information provided to us by or on behalf of the Owner on the Booking Form and can only act on that information which should therefore be complete so far as material matters are concerned.
- We will use reasonable endeavours to look after the animal whilst it is in our care but we cannot guarantee its survival or that some unexpected incident might not happen, so by confirming your booking, animals are accepted for boarding entirely at the risk of the Owner.

- If any provision of the Terms and Conditions or any agreement is held by a court or competent authority to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable and can be deleted without altering the essence of these terms and conditions or the relevant agreement, the unlawful provision will be severed and the remaining provisions will remain valid and in full force and effect.
